Signs of Fall

We didn't have any trees in our yard when we moved here, so we have planted three since we moved in. This is one that we planted a couple of years ago, and the leaves are turning such a beautiful red, I had to take a picture.

Upcoming Missions Celebration

Next week is the start of Missions Celebration at our church. They gave Kendra a box to put money in for one of the missionaries that will be coming. Grandma gave them money to put in it, so here they are having fun putting it all in. Kendra also put some of her money in, but she was excited to have more! Thank you, Grandma!

Marriage

So, I started going to a Bible study last week, and had not actually looked at the book beforehand. One of the first questions was, what is your favorite romantic song? When I am put on the spot like that I can never think, and I could not even think of the song Mike and I had at our wedding! (I should have put you on speed dial on my cell phone, Angie and Amy!) That will teach me to not look at the book next time! :) Anyway, I decided to look up the lyrics to it today. Our Bible study is "Falling in Love With Jesus", and I think it will be good. Anyway, it got me to thinking about a lot of things, one of which being marriage. I am so thankful for Mike, and his promise to me. He has many qualities that I do not have, but wish I did! Such as thinking things through before diving in and realizing what a mess I have. :) So, here is to you, Mike. I love you.

Tile :Geoff Moore And The Distance - If You Could See What I See
All of my life I have dreamed that somehow love would find me. Now I can't believe you're standing here. If beauty is all in the eye of the beholder then I wish you could see the love for you that lives in me. (Chorus)And you would know you have my heart, if you could see what I see. That a treasure's what you are if you could see what I see. Created to be the only one for me. If you could see what I see.I know there are days when you feel so much less than ideal wondering what I see in you. It's all of the light and the grace, your belief in me drives me to say that I promise you a faithful love, forever true(Chorus)If you could see then you'd understand why I fall down to my knees, and I pray my love will be worthy of the one who gave his life so our love could be, if you could see what I see(x2)You're created to be the perfect one for me, If you could see what I see..if beauty is all in the eye of the beholder then I am beholding...true beauty.

Play Time

Ashton came over this morning for a couple of hours and played with Collin. They had a great time. They played a version of hide and go seek/ peek a boo I had never seen before. It was funny to watch. I didn't even try to get a video, because I knew Collin would stop if I did!

Collin had to unload all of the toys to show Ashton.

Quite the little stunt man, huh?! He thought he was pretty funny.

New Shoes!

I made my typical mistake of "browsing" on Ebay the other day, and ended up having to get Collin a pair of Nike shoes. Hey, he didn't have any tennis shoes, so there really was a need! :) Anyway, he was really excited when they came, and doesn't want to take them off!

Another Sick Day

Today I am supposed to work, but ended up staying home because Kendra woke up with a fever and wasn't feeling good. She seems to be a little bit better now, so maybe this won't last long. It is a good chance to catch up on some things...catching up on my blog, laundry, etc!

Fall Carnival

We went up to the fall carnival at the Heritage Sunday. Collin was still napping, so he stayed home, but Kendra had a lot of fun. It was a pretty nice afternoon for it!

Celebration

Last Thursday Renee hosted a celebration for Maycee and Kendra. It was a great time. They played, had lunch, and decorated cross cookies. Kyle and Garrett gave the girls cross necklaces. Kendra loves hers!

Recent Days

Our house has been pretty uneventful. Collin started running a high fever on Saturday morning (Why does it always happen on the weekend?!), and has been sick up until today.

Kendra went to the farm with Daddy on Saturday. Here she is in her "farm clothes"!

Collin was pretty proud of himself...he finally figured out how to attach the pieces of the train together!

Kendra made flowers for her grandparents for Grandparent's Day with very little help from me. I didn't have the right materials around for the one we were going to do, but it worked. Popsicle stick...kabob skewers...potting soil....Easter grass, it's all the same, right?!

Kendra's Prayer

So many of you know that Maycee recently asked Jesus to come into her heart. Well, after she told Kendra about it, Kendra started asking me questions, and said she wanted Jesus in her heart too. So after talking about it, she prayed and asked Jesus to come into her heart and to forgive her of her sins. Afterwards, I told her that when you ask Jesus into your heart it means you are going to heaven, and she said "that's where God is", and I told her that God is right here with her too. She started singing the song "Wherever I go God is with me, wherever I am He is there..." Then she hugged herself like in this picture and said " I love Jesus THIS MUCH"! It was exciting, and I pray that she will live for Jesus all of her life!

Baby Bingo!

Last night Marty and Renee and the kids came, and we had pizza for supper. Then the kids played together. Kendra and Maycee had a good time playing with babies and stuffed animals....and the boys had fun playing Kendra's Bingo game!! They were trying to see how many of those chips they could chew on before it got taken away I think!

Renee took this one from the top angle...I think that captures it best!

Cubbies and MOPS

Last night was the first night of Cubbies for Kendra for the year, and she was sure excited to go!
We also started MOPS today, which I was excited about too! :) Kendra made a caterpillar out of egg cartons, and Collin would love to get his hands on it!

Labor Day Play!

I decided on Labor Day that I was not going to do any housework, just take the day to play with the kids, and that is exactly what we did! This is what we did for at least part of our day!

We went out and cut flowers for bouquets.

We went swimming...

We made a "house". Kendra and Collin had tons of fun with that. Kendra is calling Daddy to see when he will be home!
