First Day of 2nd Grade

Kendra went back to school today. She was excited, but a little nervous. Collin is missing her, but also enjoying time with just me I think.

"Camping"

Mike set up our tent for the kids to play in. We had fun spending the day and evening "camping".

Visit from Cousins

Mike's sister and family came to visit last weekend. It was such a fun time.

They went swimming in the pool.

They made a train with Grandma Joyce.

Caitlin had her birthday party. She wanted Kendra to help blow out the candle on her cake.

Cotton Candy

Collin and Kendra went to the county fair with Marty and Renee and family and Mom. They brought home cotton candy. I got this picture of Collin enjoying his.

Baby Update

Thought it was time for a baby update! The last few weeks have been kind of challenging for our family. I was told by the doctor to slow down, and do only what had to be done around the house. Then, on August 6th, I went in having a few problems, and they put me on the monitor for awhile. Baby's heart rate was 280, and not going down at all. They sent us to Omaha to have it checked out that day. We left at 6:00, and got there at midnight. They monitored and ran tests for 12 hours, and everything looked fine. We were very thankful, but also exhausted! I have to go in to my regular doctor each week now until the end to have an ultrasound and monitoring done. Also, we are going to Lincoln Pediatric Cardiology Clinic next week to have a more in depth ultrasound done on the baby's heart. This is the kind of thing we have been spending our hot afternoons doing. Glad we have a library to visit! :)I'll try to get a belly picture on here soon!

Harvest Festival

We took in a little bit of Harvest Festival this year. Friday night, Collin participated in the Kids Tractor pull....I forgot my camera. Then Saturday morning we went and had free breakfast and then went to the parade. Kendra and Collin went to the Methodist Church VBS that week, so they rode on their float. It was "Hero Headquarters" When they got done, they came back up the street and still saw the end of the parade with Mike. I stayed in the shade. :) The doctor had told me to take it easy, so we didn't do anything else until that evening when we went to "Toy Story 3."

Sunday at the Lake

We went to the lake a couple of weeks ago on Sunday afternoon. The Wheeler's were there too, and we met up. Maycee and Kendra had fun riding behind the boat while the boys played in the water.

Anniversary

Mike and I celebrated our 11th anniversary July 24th. We went to McCook for supper, and had some awesome barbecued ribs. It was a great evening. Kendra got this shot of us when we got home.
