Christmas Day

I didn't get these pictures quite in order, but this was how we spent Christmas day. We opened our stockings in the morning, and then went to my mom's for dinner. It was really yummy as usual!

Ashton and Collin thought they would sit on their presents.

Kendra trying out her "smell goods"!

Hey, the stockings are full!

A GUN!!

Christmas Eve

Okay, it's high time I get some posts on here! I will start with Christmas Eve. We went to candlelight service at church, and then came home and had shrimp, did our last box in our nativity, and opened presents. It was a fun evening!

Collin enjoying supper, well...jello and sparkling juice anyway! :)

Opening presents.

"Just what I wanted!"

Collin got a Cars boombox, or boombock as he calls it.

Kendra made us a snowman with a handprint picture to go with it in school. She wrapped it up for us. It was really cute, and she was so excited for us to open it, that had to be the first gift!

Kendra rearranging the nativity while we read the last page.

Kendra got a baby doll that cries when you lay her down, sucks on her pacifier, and makes other sounds. She loves her.

Our tradition of roasting marshmallows over the fire...yum!

4th and 5th

I was tagged by Angie and Charlie in a new tag game. It's pretty funny, and totally random. You post the 4th pictures from your 4th folder and your 5th picture from your 5th folder.

Both of these pictures were taken in March of 2005.
Above:Mike and Kendra at Easter time. She was 2 years old.
Below: Marty and Renee on a ski trip we took together...great memories!

And, I am not tagging anyone, because I'm not sure who hasn't been! If you haven't been tagged, then you are it!

Happy Birthday!

We had a birthday party for Kendra after church today with family. We had her menu of choice-lasagna, salad, and french bread, played, visited, opened presents, and had a yummy cake that Grandma Margaret made. It was a fun time. I got my pictures all loaded out of order, but they are here. :)

My beautiful birthday girl and me.

Kendra and her Barbie cake.

Collin thought her new trash can was fun for other things, like drumming.....

And wearing on his head....and I didn't get a picture of the other thing he was doing with it. (Let's just say he knows what we use when the stomach virus is visiting our house!)

Ashton and Collin playing with the train set.

All the things little girls love....Polly Pocket, baby dolls, new clothes...
When she was sick, she was talking about missing her party, and I told her there is always another day. She said "Well, Mom, one thing is for SURE...I will still be 6!" And so she is....Happy 6th Birthday, Kendra Ann!

My Angel

This morning was our Church Christmas program, "Christmas in Reverse". Kendra was an angel. She said "His name shall be called Immanuel, which means God is with us". I was so happy that she was feeling better so she could be in it.

Party Day

Today was supposed to be a day full of events, one of which was Kendra's birthday party with some friends, but our day was changed when she woke up not feeling well. She slept all morning, but seems to be doing good now. Hopefully she is feeling good for her real birthday tomorrow! Doesn't seem possible...6 years old already. Anyway, here is a picture of the yummy mini cupcakes I made for the party that didn't happen. So, I may have to make another batch...wouldn't that be a shame. :)

My Big Boy!

We are excited at the Bley household this morning....Collin went for the first time on the potty! M&Ms are a great bribe. :) He is going around saying "Big Boy, yep!" So cute....now, if he will just continue!

Gingerbread House

I had to work yesterday, but was able to get off for an hour to go help Kendra make a gingerbread house at school. We had a lot of fun doing it, and Collin loves to pick the candy off and eat it! :)

School Program

Kendra's school Christmas program was last night. We had fun watching her and all the other kids. I was proud of her. :) Thank you, Renee, for taking these pictures for me!

Before Pictures

Oh, yeah....I forgot the "before" pictures of Collin's room!

Collin's Room

We finally have Collin's room done, except for the curtains...you will notice I strategically left the windows out of these pictures! :)

Decorations and Cowboy Boots

I am slowly getting the house decorated for Christmas...it has taken me awhile this year. Mike got the outside lights up today too. Here are a couple of new things this year.

We made these "Joy" ornaments at MOPS last week. It was fun. Thanks for getting it together, Renee!

My mom gave me this today. I love it!

And, Collin will not take his cowboy boots off...not even when he has his pajamas on.
I have a video clip or two to put on here of him. I will try to do that soon.

The Christmas Tree

We put up one of our Christmas trees the other night. Kendra and Collin had fun helping me out.

Collin felt the need to see how many ornaments would stay on one branch before it would bend clear to the floor!

Thanksgiving at Mom's

We went to my mom's for Thanksgiving on Sunday. We had a great dinner, and then played the wii and put up the Christmas tree.

The girls found some cool bracelets.

Kendra was trying to put the Christmas tree skirt under the tree, and Ashton thought is was a fun place to hide!
