Spring Musical

We had a Spring Musical at our church, and the kids Kendra's age sang a few songs. Kendra was nervous...she said that she did not know all of the hand actions to the songs, and was afraid that people would laugh at her...I explained to her that we would be proud of her even if she couldn't do all of the actions, and she was okay. :) It was fun to watch, and a great program!

Collin's Haircut

I am a little slow on posting this...our weekend was a full one! Collin got his hair cut on Friday. It was getting kind of crazy, so he got his hair cut along with Mike. It is so much better, and he looks so much older to me...almost like a different kid!

Before...you will have to excuse the pop tart in his mouth. That is what I get for saying "cheese" when I take his picture! :)

Our weekend away

Mike had the day off Friday for Arbor Day, and I got the day off as well, so we went to Kearney to pick up siding for the house. I got a great deal on a motel room (thanks to Priceline!), so we stayed the night. It was a fun time.

Kindergarten...So soon?

Kendra had Kindergarten Roundup on Friday morning...it just does not seem possible that she will be starting school already. She is very excited about it, but I'm not so much. It's hard to let her go! She has told me all about it, and keeps asking me when she can go back. I hope the summer lasts extra long this year. :) I intend to enjoy every moment that we have together this summer!

Makeovers

Last night we had Maycee and Ashton over while their parents had a youth event. We had lots of fun doing different things, but by far the most exciting was the "makeover" time! Kendra and Maycee had lots of fun with that, and Ashton had to get in on the action too. :) Collin was more interested in his trucks!

Roller Skating

Kendra saved up her money, and with a little help from Mike and me, she bought herself a pair of roller skates. She has been skating every chance she gets, and is getting pretty good. I'll have to put a clip of her on here one of these days.

Snow Days to Daffodils

Here are some kind of older pictures of the kids when we had snow...Kendra wanted to go out and shovel, so I let her go out. Collin wasn't feeling good, so he had to stay in, and he wasn't too happy about it. Although, he did get to watch Papa cleaning off our driveway...Thank you Papa! I snapped the picture of my daffodils yesterday...it's nice to see something bright. :)

Shoes

I found a super good deal on some shoes online for Kendra and me. They came yesterday, so we had to try them on right away. I got Kendra's a size too big, so we could save them for fall, but she has worn them in the house all day yesterday, and she's doing it today too. She learned how to tie her shoes wearing them too. I posted a clip of it, but it got cut a little short because my card was out of room, and she wouldn't do it for me again. I was so proud of her!

Baking Together

Yesterday was my day off, and Kendra wanted to bake, so that's just what we did. We made cookies and an angel food cake to go with our strawberries...yum! Kendra had fun helping me, and Collin had fun licking the beater. :)

Collin's Check Ups

Collin had his 2 year check up, and a check up with the Ear specialist. Both went well....I was happy that the doctor thought he was right on track with learning to talk, and the ear specialist said everything looked great...he will see us in 3 months! He is a little on the small side (24 pounds), but Kendra has always been small too. The doctor said that since Mike and I are not so big ourselves, that is nothing to worry about. It seems like Collin is learning new words daily. It is fun to see!

Creativity and Food

Here are some pictures from our week...Collin keeps us laughing, he is so funny! Kendra is really growing up fast, but I love it when she still mixes up words...we made "doubled eggs" this week. :)

Collin LOVES to eat, as you can tell from these pictures. He drug the pudding out of the fridge, so I gave in. He also got out popcorn and raided the panty for a pop tart later, before I knew what happened.

Here's the pop tart..he brought it to me, and then said "bye!", and ran away with it behind his back.
