10 Years

Mike has worked for the State of Nebraska for 10 years as of last March. They have an awards ceremony for State employees each year for those that have been there for 10 years, 25 years, etc. They paid his milage to go to North Platte and receive it, so Collin and I rode along.

I tried to take a picture of Mike at the ceremony, but it was too dark. Here is the mug he received, with a piece of paper in it so you can see what it says!

Then, we went out to eat at Ruby Tuesday. Collin enjoyed his lunch....okay, maybe he enjoyed his french fries. :)

Mike got his favorite drink there....handcrafted peach tea.

Then, we went shopping. Collin decided to ride the cart this way.

Of course, we had to go to Menard's....Collin loves to play there.

It was such a fun day. Thank you, Mike, for including us. We are proud of you!

Fun at Grandma's & fun at home

It's been a long time since I posted anything on here, and I guess it's mostly because I haven't really taken any pictures. So, here a few taken recently.

We went to Grandma's house for Renee's birthday and had a yummy supper and ice cream cake. Maycee and Kendra had lots of fun playing "wedding".

Collin and Ashton had lots of fun with the trucks, tractors, etc.

Kendra was playing school the other evening. She got a Charlie Brown dictionary from school, so we had to figure out how a dictionary works.

Collin plays with his Thomas train set a lot. My favorite part is how he dumps the whole thing in the middle of the living room floor!

Porch Project

Mike and I painted our porch this week. It looks so much nicer now that the colors match the house. While we were working on it, Kendra decided to pull weeds...what a nice surprise! That day Collin had his play tools and was "fixing" the house.

Yesterday I painted the cement, and Collin wanted to help. So, he got craft paint and freezer paper. Here is his painting.

Collin's First Day of Sunday School

Collin went to Sunday school and Children's Church for the first time today. He said he liked it, but he was ready to go home when Sunday School was over! I took a picture of Kendra on her first day of Sunday school. I was going to post it on here, but I can't find it. Kendra graduated to a new class also. She liked it, especially since she got to bring play-doh home.

Our Saturday

We spent the day cleaning the house and doing some chores outside. Kendra was such a big helper. She mopped my kitchen floor for me and did a great job! Who says work can't be fun? :)

To Infinity And Beyond!

We were in JCPenney yesterday, and Collin saw these pajamas....he was so in love with them, I couldn't say no, and besides, he did need some pajamas. Then, I found out they were on sale, doesn't get any better! He has been going around acting like "Buzz Ightyear". I'll have to try to get a clip of it soon.

He also decided that make up is not just for girls....he had to try out Kendra's pink lipstick. He thought he loooked pretty. :)

1st Grader

Kendra came home today with a sticker that says "I'm and Official 1st Grader"...hard to believe, but true. She was nervous but excited for school this morning. She had a good day, but was a little disappointed that she didn't get 3 recesses like in Kindergarten. :)
This is last year....when I took her picture this morning, I had a flashback of this, and how big her backpack seemed a year ago. Made me a little teary eyed.
